Offering Full and Partial Dentures
Dentures are not only for elderly patients and those missing their entire set of teeth. At Legendary Smiles, we offer both full and partial dentures to patients missing any number of teeth.
A full denture can help those who have lost most or all of their teeth due to gum disease or another reason. With a realistic, natural appearance, full dentures can restore dental function and allow patients to eat, drink, and speak comfortably without worry.
A full set of dentures is removable and stays in place by fitting closely to the gums and tissues of the mouth. Using the tight fit and maximum surface coverage to “suction” to the tissue, a full set of dentures fits snugly in the mouth, even while eating.
For patients missing only some of their teeth, partial dentures provide sturdy, natural-looking replacements that are removable as well.
By fastening to the adjacent teeth using a metal framework, clasps, or other connectors, partial dentures can replace an entire set of molars, premolars, incisors, and individual teeth as well.
Patients who have lost teeth due to injury, decay, or disease should consider a custom-designed set of partial dentures from Legendary Smiles.
How it Works
When you come in for your visit, an initial impression of your mouth will be taken. Your dentist will determine if the gums are healthy enough to support dentures and will evaluate treatment options, including full or partial dentures. When the mouth is deemed healthy enough for dentures, the sizing process begins. After a few measurements, the dentist will send the impressions to a lab to have the denture created.
The dentist will later measure the length needed for the replacement teeth to ensure an ideal fit. Using a loose-fitting denture, your dentist will check the bite and fit of the dentures and determine what adjustments are necessary.
One final visit may be scheduled for adjustments before you receive your new set of full or partial dentures and cleaning and usage instructions from your dentist.
