Support Your Smile With Crown & Bridge Treatment

At Legendary Smiles in Havertown, we know that crown and bridge treatment is a restorative service that has helped many patients rejuvenate and strengthen their smiles.

What are dental crowns and bridges?

Dental crowns are caps that fit over significantly damaged or injured teeth to restore and protect them from further damage. They can also be used for cosmetic reasons, such as improving the shape or appearance of a tooth. Dental bridges are prosthetics (artificial teeth) used to replace one or more missing teeth. They are custom-made and secured in place via surrounding crowns that cover a patient’s natural teeth.

How are crowns and bridges placed?

Using proven technologies and techniques, we create custom-made crowns and bridges that comfortably fit our patients’ smiles. During your first appointment, we’ll remove any decay you’re your natural tooth or teeth and take impressions of the area, which we’ll use to create a custom crown or bridge to fit your unique needs. A temporary restoration will be placed until the final version is prepared, and once complete, we’ll have you visit our office for your second appointment. During this visit, we’ll remove the temporary restoration and test the look and feel of your customized prosthesis.  Once we’ve confirmed that it looks and feels great, we’ll secure it in place!

Who can benefit from this restorative treatment?

Many patients looking to strengthen and protect a significantly weakened tooth will likely benefit from a dental crown, while those looking to replace one or more of their missing teeth may be candidates for a dental bridge. Of course, our team will assess your unique needs and goals and provide personalized treatment recommendations.
